Industrial Millwright / Machinery Installer Foreman
We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Millwright Foreman with experience in industrial rigging, machinery moving, equipment relocation, and industrial machinery installation. This position is for a working foreman who can lead a crew while actively performing complex machinery installations and relocations.
Our priority is an experienced foreman who can contribute quickly, bringing strong technical skills and crew leadership experience without extensive training in machinery installation fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a crew performing rigging, machinery relocation, and installation of large industrial machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate daily field activities and provide hands-on direction throughout equipment moving and installation projects.
- Apply practical millwright and machinery installation skills to complete complex industrial projects.
- Communicate work assignments and guide crew members through installation and relocation tasks.
- Promote safe work practices during machinery handling, rigging, moving, and installation.
Qualifications
- Direct experience installing and relocating large industrial equipment, with the ability to perform the work personally.
- Demonstrated crew leadership experience as a foreman, working supervisor, or comparable field leader.
- Strong technical background in industrial machinery moving, rigging, relocation, and installation.
- Ability to contribute at the foreman level with limited training in the fundamentals of this work.
- Experience with contractors specializing in machinery moving, industrial rigging, equipment relocation, or machinery installation is preferred.
- Relevant project experience in pulp and paper manufacturing, plastics manufacturing, extrusion, food processing, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.
Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in conveyor installation or routine plant maintenance should also have substantial, direct experience installing and relocating large industrial machinery to qualify for this foreman role.
Experienced industrial millwrights, riggers, and machinery installers who have strong technical skills and a strong work ethic but are still developing leadership experience may also be considered for suitable opportunities. Foreman-level hiring remains the primary focus.
