Job Summary
The Field Operations Manager is responsible for leading and directing field operations across all service lines, including Water, Fire, Mold Remediation, Biohazard, Pack-Out, and Warehouse functions. This role ensures operational compliance, resource efficiency, and high service standards by directing project managers, team leads, and logistics personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field operations across Water, Fire, Biohazard, Mold Remediation, Pack-Out, and Warehouse divisions.
- Ensure jobs are scheduled and executed in line with service-level agreements.
- Maintain after-hours coverage schedules and communicate expectations to staff.
- Direct Project Managers and Team Leads on job scoping, sketching, technician delegation, and compliance with hygienist protocols.
- Ensure adherence to job protocols and standards through PM and team lead oversight.
- Drive gross profit performance for Remediation and Pack-Out operations.
- Address performance concerns and guide corrective action when necessary.
- Coordinate and lead emergency response efforts.
- Oversee compliance in pack-out operations by directing PMs/Leads on processes and quality checks.
- Supervise the Logistics Coordinator for warehouse and equipment operations.
- Ensure equipment and vehicle readiness, proper inventorying, and usage tracking.
- Direct PMs to maintain ongoing communication and status updates with property owners.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and project adjusters.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce safety procedures.
- Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts across field teams.
- Develop and guide training programs and career development paths.
- Conduct bi-annual salary reviews and performance evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field services (water, fire, remediation, etc.).
- 3 years in a leadership role managing multiple field service divisions.
- Preferred IICRC Certifications: Water Mitigation, Applied Structural Drying, Commercial Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation, Trauma & Crime Scene, Master Water Restorer.
- Valid Chauffeur’s License and DOT Certification preferred.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and the ability to unify and lead cross-functional field teams.
- Expertise in remediation operations and field services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with restoration software (Mitigate and Xactimate).
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
