What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic?
We’re looking for a compassionate and hardworking Veterinary Assistant or LVT to join our team! If you love animals, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a clinic that cares, we'd love to hear from you
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment
- Feed, bathe, and provide basic care for hospitalized patients
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the medical team
- Assist with lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures (training provided)
- Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner
- Maintain proper cleaning, laundry, and equipment sterilization protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous animal care or veterinary experience preferred (but not required—we’ll train the right person!)
- Comfort handling a variety of animals, both large and small
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine love for animals
- Pay depends on experience
