- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform catheter placement and assist with diagnostic lab work
- Monitor patient vitals, behavior, and comfort, and communicate changes promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, decluttered clinic environment
- Safely handle and restrain animals during exams, treatments and procedures
- Educate pet owners on care, medication administration, and veterinarian recommendations
- Support the team with essential administrative tasks that keep the day running smoothly
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting is preferred
- Familiarity with animal physiology and handling techniques—especially small animals and/or exotics—is a plus (and can be taught on the job)
- A teachable spirit, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for organization and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and teammates with empathy and clarity
- The ability to multitask and stay grounded during emergencies, emotional moments, and the unpredictable nature of animals
- Experience with dog behavior, training, handling, or administering medications is helpful
