Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive/Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in various systems including auto mech repair, powertrain, and automotive electrical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and fixing vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Must have a valid driver's license and provide own tools. Being able to diagnose vehicles is a must. Mechanic will be on the road and provided company vehicle. Must have good customer service skills. Opportunity to excel with a fast growing company.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and recommend repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Execute auto body repair work as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Work with diesel engines for repairs and maintenance as required.
- Utilize hand tools and to perform repairs effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Good customer service skills dealing with customers and accounts
- Able to work outside in the elements
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
- Comfortable around diesel vehicles along with diagnostics
- Familiarity with familarity is a plus.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Experience working in a dealership setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not mandatory.
