POSITION OVERVIEW
SCHEDULE AND PAY
This is a full-time (40 hour) position.
This hours for this position will be primarily 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, along with occasional evenings for outreach and enrollment activities.
The hourly pay range for this position is $25- $27, and is dependent on experience.
DUTIES
- Provide supervision to departmental staff
- Plan, coordinate, and leads monthly departmental staff meetings
- Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for immediate staff
- Participate in hiring, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
- Develop workflows for proactively identifying patients who may be eligible for or benefit from financial assistance programs, including sliding fee scale, Marketplace, Medicaid and other applicable programs
- Ensure appropriate screening, enrollment, renewal, and documentation processes are followed
- Coordinate enrollment related outreach/education events for patients and the public
- Oversee insurance enrollment and reenrollment activities
- Design and adopt workflows to connect patients with employment, education, training, volunteer, and other community opportunities that may assist them in satisfying applicable Medicaid community engagement requirements
- Identify attributed patients, reconciling attribution information with patient records, and coordinating outreach and follow-up activities
- Network with outside organizations to build local and regional coalitions aimed at increasing access to healthcare
- Maintains relationships with Medicaid managed care organizations, government agencies, community partners, and other organizations to maximize resources available to ACHC patients
- Oversees workflows for completing and providing Good Faith Estimates (GFEs) and ensures established workflows meet organizational and regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in social work, public health, or related field preferred
- High school diploma required
- Possesses a current, valid certification as a Certified Application Counselor in the State of Iowa, or obtains the certification within 12 months of employment
- BLS certification required
