What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman - Project Lead position at ALL AMERICAN FACILITY MAINTENANCE?
- Supervise, coordinate, and support a team of handyman and maintenance technicians
- Assign daily work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and client needs
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
- Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks as needed (plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot on-site issues
- Train and mentor junior technicians to improve skill level and productivity
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and job completion status
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and company vehicles are properly maintained
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors when necessary
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with management regarding project status and workforce needs
- 3–7 years of general maintenance, handyman, or facilities repair experience
- 1–3 years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or service instructions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
- OSHA certification (preferred but not required)
Salary : $56,000 - $59,000
