We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy oral and craniofacial surgery practice in Anchorage, Alaska. Our practice provides medical and dental surgical care for all ages.
This dynamic position requires face time with patients and the ability to work with our front office team in providing excellent, patient-centered care. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring seamless communication, appointment scheduling, and accurate management of medical records.
Qualifications:
- Must have medical and/or dental front office experience
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary treatment care for patients and with other providers
- Must have an understanding of insurance billing process, including explanation of benefits, claims siubmission, insurance verification, and treatment estimates
- Experience with MS office products
- Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships through strong communication skills via phone and in person
Responsibilities :
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures to create a positive first impression
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using specialized patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Manage patient records with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulation policies
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately
- Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers, including follow-up instructions and appointment reminders
- Maintain a clean, organized front office environment while supporting medical administrative tasks such as data entry and document management
