Alkin Academy is seeking a passionate and organized Summer Transition Coach to support families and students during our Summer Transition Program (STP). This role is essential in helping children successfully transition into Pre-K or Kindergarten while building strong family connections.
Position Details
- Position: Summer Transition Coach (Part-Time)
- Duration: Approximately 6–7 weeks (Summer 2026)
- Hours: Up to 140 total hours (flexible schedule, including some evenings)
- Compensation: $3,539.20 (fixed stipend)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between families and the program
- Conduct daily attendance follow-ups with families
- Plan and facilitate weekly family engagement activities/workshops
- Assist families with:
- School readiness
- Kindergarten transition
- Community resources (CAPS, health services, etc.)
- Support enrollment, orientation, and program setup
- Maintain accurate documentation (attendance, family contacts, activity logs)
- Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support student success
Qualifications
- Must have one of the following:
- CDA, TCC, TCD, Paraprofessional Certificate, or
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Experience working with young children and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings for family events)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Georgia Pre-K or similar programs
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience leading parent workshops or family engagement activitie
Pay: $3,539.20 per year
