Benefits & Payroll Specialist

ALIYA Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits & Payroll Specialist to lead benefits administration across multiple skilled nursing facilities while supporting payroll operations. This role is primarily responsible for managing employee benefits programs, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will also assist with payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and supplemental plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollments, and coverage issues.
  • Coordinate new hire benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and open enrollment processes.
  • Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve benefits-related issues and ensure accurate plan administration.
  • Maintain benefits records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Reconcile benefits billing and eligibility reports; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support employee education and communication around benefits offerings and changes.


Payroll Support:

  • Assist with payroll processing for multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and audit timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and PTO.
  • Support payroll reporting, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to ensure accurate employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
  • Support audits and reporting related to benefits and payroll.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of benefits administration and/or payroll experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations (primary focus).
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations.
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
