The Assistant Administrator / Administrator-in-Training (AIT) supports the Facility Administrator in the efficient operation of the nursing home. This role provides hands-on experience in long-term care leadership while assisting with the management of daily operations, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The AIT position is designed for individuals pursuing a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license under the guidance of an experienced Administrator.
Responsibilities and Duties:

The AIT position is designed for individuals pursuing a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license under the guidance of an experienced Administrator.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the facility's philosophy of care and help achieve its goals and objectives.
- Assist in creating an emotional and physical environment conducive to the well-being of residents and staff.
- Reinforce facility policies and ensure quality care services are delivered consistently.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding qualified staff to meet facility objectives.
- Monitor accounts receivable and work with third-party payers to support cash flow.
- Assist department heads in maintaining and accounting for supplies.
- Perform daily rounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall facility appearance.
- Facilitate day-to-day operations, including activities, meal service, payroll, and resident admissions.
- Handle admission inquiries and intake procedures with professionalism and efficiency.
- Analyze complaints and take corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in implementing personnel policies and procedures.
- Promote positive public relations with community groups.
- Organize weekend supervisors and track compensatory days for department heads.
- Attend admissions, Department Head, QA, and Medicare/Medicaid pre-planning meetings.
- Ensure compliance with fire, disaster, safety, infection control, and evacuation policies.
- Furnish resident information only to authorized agencies or individuals.
- Serve as a weekend supervisor as part of department head rotation.
- Complete all AIT program requirements under the mentorship of a licensed Administrator.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Facility Administrator.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
