Virtualization Engineer

Key Responsibilities

 Design and Architecture: Develop and implement VMware virtualization

solutions, including vSphere, vCenter, Horizon, and ESXi, to meet business and

technical requirements.

 Deployment and Maintenance: Design, install, configure, and manage VMware

environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

 Performance Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot virtualized systems to

identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and

reliability.

 Automation: Create and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks using

tools like PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Ansible.

 Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices for

virtualized environments, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory

standards.

 Disaster Recovery: Design and manage disaster recovery solutions, including

backup and replication strategies for virtualized systems.

 Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network,

storage, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of

virtualized systems.

 Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations,

processes, and procedures for operational and audit purposes.

 Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a

culture of continuous learning and improvement.
