Do you thrive on keeping production humming, negotiating better terms, and turning data into decisions? As our Procurement Operations Coordinator, you will orchestrate purchasing from requisition to receipt, ensuring materials land on time, within budget, and to spec—while partnering closely across planning, production, engineering, quality, and finance.
Your Core Focus
- Buy what the business needs: raw materials, components, services, and supplies for on-time builds.
- Own POs end-to-end: creation, tracking, and delivery confirmation with impeccable accuracy.
- Negotiate price, lead time, payment terms, and contracts to protect cost, quality, and delivery.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and qualify alternates to reduce risk.
- Collaborate daily with internal teams to align purchasing actions with production priorities.
- Measure supplier performance; resolve delivery, quality, and service issues early.
- Review inventory regularly to avoid shortages and minimize excess/obsolete stock.
- Support audits, supplier evaluations, and corrective actions when needed.
- Work with finance to clear invoice variances and maintain accurate records.
- Track market and material price trends to inform sourcing decisions.
- Follow up on work orders, purchase orders, and outside processes; flag delays to the Purchasing Manager and stakeholders.
- Report status updates so teams always know current product requirements.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience welcome.
- 2 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Comfort with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Negotiation savvy, clear communicator, and highly organized.
- Strong analytical skills; able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, ITAR compliance, and regulated procurement preferred.
- Cross-functional team player known for accuracy, consistency, and follow-through.
- Reliable, professional, and dedicated to team outcomes.
Role Logistics
- Environment: Office-centric with routine shop-floor interaction; exposure to typical manufacturing noise and machinery.
- Physical: Primarily desk-based; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional extended hours.
- Travel: Minimal.
