Join a team focused on precision, continuous improvement, and safe operations. In this temp-to-perm, second-shift role, you will turn prints into production-ready CNC mill setups that consistently hold tolerance and hit schedule.
Core impact- Translate blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T into efficient CNC mill setups for rod-formed parts.
- Run, monitor, and adjust programs to keep dimensions in spec and cycle times optimized.
- Conduct in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; document results.
- Perform routine maintenance and resolve machine issues to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to refine tooling, offsets, and methods.
- Maintain accurate setup sheets, machine parameters, and quality records.
- Uphold safety practices and support training of fellow operators.
- 2 years operating CNC milling machines; rod-forming or precision machining background preferred.
- Proficient in reading drawings and applying GD&T.
- Mechanical problem-solver with attention to detail.
- Comfortable using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced shop.
- Factory setting; frequent interaction with production and warehouse teams.
- Physical demands include regular walking, twisting, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. or higher.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; flexibility for extended hours. Second shift, temp-to-perm path.
