$225,000 – $310,000

A premier global law firm is seeking a Finance (Corporate Debt) Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, banks, direct lenders, institutional investors, and corporate borrowers in sophisticated syndicated lending and commercial finance transactions.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of finance, leveraged finance, banking & finance, or corporate debt experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing private equity sponsors, banks, direct lenders, institutional investors, and corporate borrowers

• Experience handling syndicated lending, secured lending, asset-based lending, cash flow lending, acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and other commercial finance transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, commitment papers, security agreements, collateral documents, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and other financing documents

• Experience representing borrowers in private equity-sponsored and non-sponsored financing transactions

• Experience with debt capital markets instruments is a plus

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage multiple sophisticated finance transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
