A premier global law firm is seeking a Cyber/Data/Privacy Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing technology companies, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, life sciences companies, and other sophisticated clients in complex privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory enforcement, and litigation matters.

Ideal Background

• 4–6 years of cyber/data/privacy, regulatory investigations, or complex litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience handling regulatory investigations involving the FTC, State Attorneys General, and other federal and state regulatory agencies

• Experience defending data privacy and cybersecurity class actions, including matters involving data breaches, consumer protection claims, unfair and deceptive trade practices, wiretapping claims, and the Stored Communications Act

• Experience advising clients regarding privacy compliance, cybersecurity incident response, regulatory investigations, and risk management

• Experience representing technology companies, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, life sciences companies, retailers, and other data-driven businesses

• General technology fluency and an understanding of evolving privacy and cybersecurity laws

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
