ABOUT US
Aligned Management Services (AMS) provides financial, administrative, and management support to a network of innovative ophthalmology practices. As part of a values-driven, growth-oriented company, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information across multiple entities.
This position is ideal for an experienced, hands-on accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes ownership of day-to-day accounting functions, and enjoys building scalable financial processes within a growing organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports for multiple entities.
- Manage cash flow by tracking balances, preparing projections, and proactively communicating funding needs.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions across multiple practices.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience; healthcare or multi-entity experience preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Paylocity; experience with reporting tools a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
