Massage Therapist

About the Role:

As a Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the physical and mental well-being of clients through expert therapeutic techniques. Your primary objective will be to assess client needs and deliver customized massage treatments that alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote holistic health. You will work closely with clients to understand their health concerns and tailor sessions using modalities such as deep tissue massage, reflexology, and trigger point therapy. Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification or diploma from an accredited massage therapy program.
• Valid state or regional license to practice massage therapy, where applicable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic massage techniques including deep tissue and trigger point therapy.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in reflexology, lymphatic drainage, or aromatherapy.
• Experience working in a holistic health or wellness center.
• Knowledge of complementary healing practices and holistic health principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in client management software and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough client consultations to understand health history, concerns, and treatment goals.
• Perform various massage techniques including therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, and aromatherapy as appropriate.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address client-specific needs and promote holistic health.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Manage scheduling and client records efficiently while demonstrating flexibility to accommodate varying work hours.
