Must have IOLTA and Law Firm Experience.Salary Range: $202,000 - $222,000 / year DOEController ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute financial strategies aligned with the firm's aggressive expansion goalsLead and manage all aspects of the firm’s financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, billing, collections, A/P, A/R, and trust accounting.Prepare monthly financial statements, operational reports, and profitability analyses to support strategic decision-making.Collaborate with firm leadership to develop budgets, provide financial forecasts, and deliver actionable insights.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax preparation, and internal policies in partnership with external accountants.Serve as a financial advisor to Managing Partner and leadership, clearly communicating policies and offering guidance to non-financial staff.Supervise and mentor the accounting team, overseeing schedules, cross-training, and staffing needs.Prepare, monitor, and analyze budgets and forecasts to inform decision-making and strategic planningEnsure financial stability and profitability by overseeing cash flow and day-to-day financial operationsEnsure adherence to GAAP, industry-specific financial regulations, and best practicesImplement and optimize financial systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and complianceManage partnerships with banks, CPA firms, and other financial stakeholdersSupport tax planning and prepare necessary documentation in collaboration with external accountantsDevelop and monitor KPIs to measure financial health and operational successSupervise payroll processing, employee benefits accounting, and tax withholdings.Implement cost-control measures to optimize financial performance.Provide financial analysis and recommendations to firm leadership for strategic decision-making.Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.Controller RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or MBA strongly preferred8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3 years in a leadership rolePrior law firm experience is requiredMust be willing to rolling up the sleeves to perform operational tasksDISCLAIMER: The compensation range represents a good faith estimate of what our client may pay for the position at the time of posting.
