Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas, including cooking stations, prep zones, and storage
- Support bussing and cleaning duties to ensure a tidy dining environment for guests
- Handle food running duties efficiently to deliver orders promptly from kitchen to guest tables
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Practice safe manual handling and heavy lifting techniques when moving supplies or equipment
- Provide in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns with professionalism
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices during shifts
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Willingness to perform cleaning tasks such as bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided
- Excellent teamwork attitude with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
