Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Front Desk Staff role located in Dearborn, MI. The Front Desk Staff member will greet patients, check them in and out, verify and update demographic and insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, collecting copays and balances, and maintaining organized patient records. The role also involves coordinating with clinical staff and providers, preparing charts or electronic records before visits, and ensuring the waiting area and front desk remain orderly and professional. The Front Desk Staff is expected to provide courteous, efficient service while protecting patient privacy and following office policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Dependable, Punctual and able to keep attendance is required.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
- Solid Computer Literacy.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare front desk office setting preferred but not required.
Previous experience with EPIC EMR is preferred but not required.
Previous experience with verifying patient’s current medical elegibility benefits is preferred but not required
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy environment with frequent patient interaction
