Job Description:
Electrical Trades Instructor Position at Alfred State College

What We're Looking For:
- A strong command of AC/DC electrical theory and related mathematics.
- Extensive practical experience with the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.), electrical instrumentation, and test equipment.
- Proficiency in residential and commercial wiring, including conduit and raceway layout, design, and bending calculations.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing mid-sized work crews (20 ), with a proven ability to guide both classroom and laboratory instruction.
- Experience teaching in both lecture and hands-on lab settings, with a talent for managing live projects and student teams.
- Skills in student advisement, record keeping, purchasing, committee participation, and recruitment activities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus.

Requirements:
Qualifications
To be considered for this rewarding opportunity, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- An Associate's Degree in a related field and at least four (4) years of documented professional field experience (including a minimum of three (3) years of direct trade experience),
OR
- A minimum of eight (8) years of professional field experience in the electrical trades.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly valued and will be considered an asset.

Additional Information:
The starting salary for this position is $50,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
