What are the responsibilities and job description for the Future Opening: Alabama Sales Intern position at Alfa Internship?
Our goal is to provide a structured and formal internship experience for our interns to immerse themselves in our culture, gain insight into the insurance industry, and explore various career opportunities within an insurance company.
Responsibilities
- Ability to attain Property & Casualty license (this will be paid for by Alfa). Intern will be appointed by Alfa to sell insurance allowing the intern to gain real world sales experience
- Responsible for prospecting new business in multi-line insurance, quoting and binding policies, handling customer inquiries, documenting requests and completing changes, accept and process premiums and dues in a membership organization.
- Service to members includes strong communication skills on multiple platforms, conflict resolutions skills, ability to quickly learn new computer programs and processes. Proficient at adapting to a constantly changing, extremely fast-paced environment.
- Provide support to the agent and service center staff as needed.
- Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement using competent skills in binding and processing applications.
- Rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year university
- Computer skills and ability to learn new programs (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills
- Team player
