The Role: Trusted Advisor
ALFA International is seeking an energetic, commercially driven Account Manager to grow and deepen relationships with an established portfolio of key customers. This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on being a Trusted Advisor by building credibility, uncovering opportunity, and expanding share of wallet within existing customer accounts.
As an Account Manager, you will own your book of business end-to-end—serving as a trusted advisor while proactively identifying new revenue opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and driving measurable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Revenue Growth
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of distributor and service technician accounts with clear revenue and activity objectives
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within existing customer relationships
- Develop and execute account plans to increase purchase frequency, product depth, and long-term value
Proactive Customer Engagement
- Maintain a high level of outbound customer activity via meetings, phone calls, emails, LinkedIn engagement, etc
- Drive daily, high-impact customer engagement that uncovers customer needs, advances sales opportunities, and expands revenue.
- Build structured communication cadences to stay top of mind with key decision-makers and influencers
Consultative Selling & Relationship Building
- Position ALFA as a strategic partner by understanding the customer’s go-to-market, business challenges, and growth objectives
- Educate customers on ALFA's product solutions and value-added offerings
- Leverage ALFA resources, catalogs, samples, and data to influence purchasing decisions
Internal Collaboration & Execution
- Partner closely with internal colleagues in service, operations, and leadership to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Maintain disciplined daily CRM usage to track wins, pipeline progression, growth opportunities, activity, leads, and new contacts
Market & Industry Presence
- Represent ALFA International during in-person customer visits, trade shows, and industry events
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Sales-Minded Professional: Proven ability to grow revenue within existing customer accounts
- Strong Communicator: Confident, persuasive, and professional in phone, email, and go-to-market virtual and in-person interactions
- Relationship Builder: Able to establish trust with decision makers and influencers, purchasing managers, technicians, and decision-makers
- CRM Discipline: Daily use of Zoho CRM or comparable CRM systems required
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Office skills; comfortable using LinkedIn for prospecting and networking;
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of account management or inside sales experience; foodservice or hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting and customer visits
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
