Role Description This full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role is based in Birmingham, AL. The Insurance Agent will advise clients on coverage options, provide quotes, and sell life, property, auto, and other insurance products that meet individual needs. Responsibilities include building and managing a book of business, conducting policy reviews, processing applications and renewals, and maintaining accurate client records. The role involves delivering responsive customer service, handling inquiries and claims-related questions, and proactively following up with prospects and existing clients. The Insurance Agent will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while meeting sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
- Strong understanding of Insurance products, policy structures, and basic Finance concepts relevant to premium, coverage, and risk.
- Proven Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and problem-solving for diverse client situations.
- State insurance producer license (or eligibility to obtain within a defined timeframe) and familiarity with relevant regulations.
- Ability to build long-term client relationships, manage multiple accounts, and meet or exceed sales and retention targets.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, office software, and digital tools to manage leads, documentation, and client communications.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in handling confidential client information.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field is preferred; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline is beneficial but not required.
