Job Summary

Alfa Insurance is seeking a driven Business System Specialist to help shape, support, and enhance our Guidewire Policy & Billing systems while partnering closely with teams across the organization. Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of business requirements.
• Support the production Guidewire Policy & Billing applications.
• Participate in testing tasks.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor working with teammates and those outside the department
• Maintain a working knowledge of all policy forms, endorsements, exclusions, and underwriting rules and procedures for all lines of business within the policy administration system.
• Maintain a professional and courteous working relationship with the underwriting department, agency force, and home office personnel. Maintains an acceptable attendance record as outlined in the P & C Underwriting Attendance Policy
  
  
  

Qualifications

• College Degree Required.
• 2 years Insurance experience specifically in underwriting, billing or claims departments.
• INS Designation is an advantage.
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification is an advantage.
• Business Process Management Certifications are an advantage.
• Aptitude for providing technical solutions.
• Training/certification in Agile & Waterfall development methodologies is preferred.
• Strong background in verbal and written communications.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
• Guidewire software experience preferred.
