Human Resources Generalist (HR Generalist)

HR Generalist to run hiring, onboarding, and compliance across a multi-site organization.
Day-to-day includes recruiting support, onboarding execution, employee documentation, and compliance tracking. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to enforce policies across multiple locations.
This is an in-office role based in Englewood, NJ.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Compliance
Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and employee relations
Ensure compliance with federal, New Jersey, and multi-state employment laws
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
Employee Relations & Enforcement
Support disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations
Document all employee relations issues in accordance with company policy
Escalate sensitive matters appropriately
Onboarding & Training (New Hire Orientation)
Execute onboarding for all new hires
Track completion of required training and certifications
Maintain compliance records for audits
Recruiting Support (Talent Acquisition)
Assist with candidate pipeline and hiring process
Conduct background checks and employment verifications
Support interview coordination and hiring workflows
HR Systems (HRIS – UKG / UltiPro)
Maintain employee data in UKG (UltiPro)
Track onboarding, status changes, and compliance records
Support reporting and audits
Reporting & Process Improvement
Assist with HR reporting and audits
Conduct exit interviews and identify trends
Recommend process improvements based on data
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of HR experience required
Strong knowledge of employment laws
Experience with HRIS/ATS systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
Healthcare or multi-site experience
PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Full-time, in-office position (Englewood, NJ)
Hybrid eligibility based on performance and tenure
