Duties
- Lead informative and captivating guided tours for groups of varying sizes, ensuring an engaging experience for all visitors
- Manage tour schedules, coordinate bookings, and handle visitor inquiries efficiently to maximize visitor satisfaction
- Deliver clear, enthusiastic public presentations about exhibits, history, or site features using excellent communication skills
- Assist visitors with questions, provide directions, and ensure their safety throughout their visit
- Train and supervise volunteer guides or assistant staff to maintain high-quality tour delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tour areas, exhibit spaces, and visitor facilities
- Collect feedback from visitors to continuously improve tour content and overall experience
Qualifications
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse audiences
- Proven leadership skills with experience in guiding groups or managing team members
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills to captivate audiences of all ages
- Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously
- Effective time management skills to coordinate multiple tours and activities seamlessly
- Outstanding communication skills to clearly convey information and foster engagement
- Experience in teaching or educational roles is a plus, demonstrating the ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences
Education & Experience:
- B.A. in relevant field e.g. Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Education, History, Communication, Museum Studies, General Education.
- 5 years of experience as tour guide or related profession.
