Alexandria Country Day School seeks a dedicated and growth-minded professional to join our faculty as a full-time Middle School Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position involves leading Spanish instruction for students in sixth through eighth grades and serving as a middle school advisor, providing essential mentorship and guidance during these formative years. The school is looking for a candidate who is innovative, creative, and skilled at integrating technology into the curriculum to foster a dynamic learning environment.
Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred. A minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience and full fluency in both written and spoken Spanish are required. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong belief in and experience with Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) and Comprehensible Input (CI) methodologies, as well as a working knowledge of ACTFL proficiency standards. Furthermore, candidates should be adept at differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all learners.
