About the Role
Alexander Party Rentals is seeking an experienced and motivated Event Sales Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, in-person role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced events environment and enjoys building relationships, managing large-scale projects, and driving business growth.
The Event Sales Project Manager will play a key role in expanding sales, developing new client relationships, and overseeing the execution of large contracts and event installations. This position is a part of our sales team and works closely with our warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery for events including but not limited to weddings, concerts, corporate events, and large festivals.
Peak seasons will require increased hours and flexibility, balanced by a salaried position with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and bring in additional sales-strong sales background preferred
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venues, and event partners to drive repeat business and referrals
- Manage and oversee large-scale contracts and complex event installs serving as the primary on site contact for clients
- Coordinate site evaluations and attend in-person client meetings to assess technical needs, layouts, and site restrictions
- Travel to event sites for installations, inspections, and site evalulations
- Represent Alexander Party Rentals at networking events and industry functions(e.g. ILEA, NACE, WIPA GSBA, MPI, etc) while proactively generating new business
- Ensure high standards for install execution, safety, and overall event quality
- Assist with showroom organization, cleanliness, and presentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory, timelines, logistics, and expectations are met
- Establish client accounts and manage projects from start to finish
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, event production, rentals, or a related field
- Strong sales mindset with relationship-building experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working flexible hours during peak event seasons
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks on a regular basis, including lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds or more. The role also requires physical capability to stand for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, twisting, and reaching. Employees must be able to safely lift objects overhead when necessary.
