We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial systems using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and alignment to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Repair complex mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC components on various machinery.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, power tools, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicle systems and heavy equipment using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting, equipment assembly, and welding tasks to support ongoing operational needs.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience working with heavy trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment or similar vehicles.
- Dealership experience or background in heavy truck repair is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with excavator operation, crane maintenance or forklift servicing is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics reading and automotive electrical system repair techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
