Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will keep our fleet safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to make a tangible impact every day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial systems using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and alignment to maximize equipment lifespan.
• Repair complex mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC components on various machinery.
• Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, power tools, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicle systems and heavy equipment using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
• Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting, equipment assembly, and welding tasks to support ongoing operational needs.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience working with heavy trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment or similar vehicles.
• Dealership experience or background in heavy truck repair is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
• Hands-on experience with excavator operation, crane maintenance or forklift servicing is a plus.
• Familiarity with schematics reading and automotive electrical system repair techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
