We’ve just partnered with a well renowned design consultancy based in Kansas City who’s looking to take on a proven Land Development Project Manager to lead and oversee land development and redevelopment projects across residential, and municipal sectors. This role provides the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary teams, drive project delivery, and interact directly with clients and regulatory agencies.
About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee land development projects from start to finish, from bare ground and conceptual design through permitting and construction. You’ll lead the delivery of land development including but not limited to subdivisions, multifamily, and projects by coordinating internal design resources, controlling budgets and timelines, reviewing technical outputs, and ensuring full compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The role demands confident leadership and the ability to prioritise and run multiple projects at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee land development projects, including residential and municipal sites.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables.
- Liaise communication with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Review and approve site designs including grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater plans.
- Conduct quality control on project deliverables and technical reports.
- Support permitting, construction administration, and client communications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff.
Qualifications
- 10 years minimum of related skills and experience in the development/redevelopment field.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with at least 4 or more years of experience in Kansas or Missouri.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, MS Project, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro.

Salary: $120,000-$160,000 DOE
