Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Waitress/Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests by taking accurate orders, delivering food and beverages promptly, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. You will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth operations, uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and respond to guest needs with attentiveness and care. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Process guest payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Upsell menu items and specials when appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
