Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities timely and accurately.
- Prepare assigned account reconciliations timely and accurately.
- Work with AR and AP to research and resolve any discrepancies expeditiously.
- Work closely with coworkers both in and outside of the accounting department to resolve accounting issues and assist in projects.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliations.
- Participate in internal and external financial audits.
- Monitor general ledger activity for compliance with policy, budget, and regulatory standards.
- Alert leadership to emerging financial trends and concerns.
- Support Alera Corporate finance initiatives.
- Respond to requests from Corporate.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Expertise in Excel — including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills required
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Additional Information
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.

Salary range is $60K to $70K per year.
