Aleman Beauty Studio is an award winning waxing beauty studio in Alexandria, VA specializing in Brazilian waxing, full body waxing, sugaring, and lash lifts.

We are looking for the right Wax Specialist to grow with our studio.

This position is a great opportunity for a beauty school student / newer beauty professional who is passionate about waxing and wants more hands on opportunities to develop their waxing skills and eventually build a strong clientele.

We are not looking for someone who is simply looking for a temporary place to work. We want someone who is genuinely interested in making waxing part of their long-term beauty career.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

BEAUTY SCHOOL STUDENT / NEWER WAXER

Are you currently attending cosmetology, esthetics, or another qualifying beauty program?

Are you already interested in waxing but need more real-world opportunities to practice, gain confidence, and work with clients?

This could be a great opportunity for you. We are open to someone who has foundational waxing knowledge and wants to develop their skills in a professional studio environment.

You must be serious about waxing. We are not looking for someone who simply wants to “try waxing.” We want someone who sees waxing as a potential specialty and is excited to learn, improve, and eventually build their own loyal clientele.

Any services performed must be within the scope of your current Virginia license/authorization. If you are a student, we would like for you to be graduating within the next 6 to 12 months.

COMPENSATION

Starting around $16/hour, depending on qualifications and role.

Candidates begin with an hourly training/onboarding period during their first 3 months.

Higher pay opportunities will depend on experience, performance, service ability, and clientele development.

Our goal is to give you the opportunity to grow your income as you grow your clientele.

You are not expected to arrive with a full book of clients. However, you are expected to put effort into building your clientele, providing excellent service, participating in studio marketing, and creating relationships that encourage clients to return.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time position primarily focused on:

Sundays: approximately 12 PM–5 PM
Mondays: approximately 10 AM–8 PM

Flexible with Monday hours.

There may be opportunities for occasional Saturdays & Tuesdays as the studio schedule grows.

Consistent Sunday Monday availability is required.

Hours may increase over time as your clientele and studio demand grow.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on your experience and licensing, responsibilities may include:

Performing professional waxing services
Brazilian and full-body waxing
Facial waxing
Client consultations
Waxing aftercare education
Maintaining proper sanitation and infection-control standards
Preparing and maintaining your treatment area
Keeping your station, implements, and supplies clean and organized
Maintaining a polished, professional appearance
Providing exceptional client service
Creating a comfortable experience for first-time Brazilian clients
Using GlossGenius for appointment management
Recommending appropriate services and products
Participating in studio social media content
Helping create Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikToks
Building repeat clientele and long-term client relationships
Following Aleman Beauty Studio policies, procedures, and service standards

SOCIAL MEDIA IS PART OF THE JOB

We are a personal-brand-driven beauty studio, and social media is an important part of how we grow.

You should be comfortable:

Being photographed/videoed
Appearing on Instagram and TikTok
Participating in Reels and Stories
Allowing your work to be showcased
Helping create beauty/waxing content
Representing Aleman Beauty Studio professionally online

You don’t have to be an influencer or have millions of followers but you do need to be comfortable being part of the content.
