Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers in a retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, providing exceptional service, and ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining store presentation.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Demonstrate products through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding and drive sales.
• Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are stocked and organized on shelves.
• Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels, customer feedback, and store operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
• Familiarity with cashiering processes and retail math concepts.
• Experience with stocking merchandise and maintaining store presentation standards.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus but not mandatory.
