Alderson Loop is seeking a Solution Owner to support a large-scale technology transformation for an established organization in the benefits and payroll industry. This individual will play a key role in the modernization and rebuild of the organization’s technology ecosystem, including the development of a new cloud-native platform built on AWS.
The Solution Owner will sit at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery, owning initiatives from initial requirements through deployment. The ideal candidate combines strong technology project management experience with an understanding of modern software development, Agile delivery, and cloud environments. This person will work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and architects to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and ensure projects are successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technology initiatives throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through development, testing, and deployment.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and other technology stakeholders to drive projects through completion.
- Manage multiple concurrent technology initiatives within a fast-paced transformation environment.
- Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, project cadences, planning sessions, and delivery activities.
- Track project priorities, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables while maintaining alignment between business and technical teams.
- Help teams navigate changing priorities, technical challenges, and team dynamics while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Support projects leveraging modern, cloud-native architectures and development practices.
- Provide clear communication regarding project status, risks, priorities, and outcomes to technical and business stakeholders.
- Help establish scalable and repeatable delivery practices as the organization continues to modernize its technology environment.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing technology projects, programs, or software development initiatives.
- Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Experience managing projects across the full software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-native technology environments.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Experience partnering directly with software engineers and architects.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and technology architectures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving environment undergoing significant technology transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification or demonstrated hands-on experience supporting AWS-based technology initiatives.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or comparable Agile/Scrum certification.
- Experience managing projects involving microservices, cloud-native architectures, or modern application development.
- Exposure to AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled technology initiatives.
- Experience managing complex technology programs involving multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
