Aldersgate is looking for a PRN CDL Driver to provide transportation to the residents of Aldersgate in accordance with the Department of Transportation regulations for Commercial Drivers and Aldersgate policies and procedures. In this role you will interact with residents, family members, and other disciplines.

• Schedule/Availability: PRN (As needed)
• Weekends (As needed)

What You’ll do:

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Provides transportation for Aldersgate residents cross-campus and off campus in accordance with facility policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Exhibits a working knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to a commercial driver’s license.
• Relays situations/problems concerning the residents, vehicles, other persons, etc. to appropriate staff, providing supportive documentation as appropriate.
• Perform pre-trip inspection prior to each trip and submit reports on a timely basis.
• Adheres to safety rules and regulations at all times. Take prompt and appropriate action when unsafe conditions are observed.
• Provide an atmosphere on the vehicles that is environmentally and emotionally pleasant for the riders.
• Exhibits a working knowledge of Aldersgate policies and procedures related to job tasks.
• Attends mandatory in-services and training as requested.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the infection control and exposure control plan.
• Adheres to the defined policy for the Bill of Rights for Nursing Home Residents.
• Accurately keeps co-workers and supervisors well informed on a timely basis, communicating through proper channels.
• Maintains confidentiality of communication and information related to residents, co-workers, etc.

• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (tracking mileage, making change, etc.)
• CDL

Compensation is $17.50 - $20.50 per hour based on experience.
