We are currently hiring a ProjectManager I to join our IOD Portfolio & Design Control team in Fort Worth, TX. This person will support the business goals and objectives through efficient, effective, and comprehensive project management solutions as well as plans, conducts and provides project management expertise to one or more projects of significant importance and difficulty where the scope, complexity, risk, and investment involved requires the broad application of intermediate knowledge
Job Title: Project Manager I
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, forecasts/budgets, and timelines (milestones) for moderately complex projects.
- Collaborates with Core team to create project schedule and understands the major dependencies with functional departments. Uses baselining and other project management skills to monitor and execute project progress.
- Monitor and report project team activities against project plan to identify deviations from planned timing, budget, or scope.
- Use appropriate communication tools to ensure that all project customers are informed of project status.
- Facilitate risk management of projects and escalation/mitigation of significant deviations.
- Actively runs Core Team meetings preparing agendas, taking minutes, recording actions, and driving accountability.
- Proficient use of project management processes, software, and tools.
- Collaborates with Finance and supports the Project Lead and team with the development of the project budget to build yearly budget and direct spend forecast for project Strategic Planning.
- Creates and maintains yearly project budgets using their intermediate knowledge of financial tools for tracking project budgets (accruals, cross charging, etc.). Keeps team aware of variance to forecast.
- Monitors the monthly forecast to actual spend, reports budget variations and provides rationale for monthly, quarterly, and yearly variances.
- Collaborates with Project Lead on milestone setting. Actively monitors and reports milestone progress to the Core Team and outside groups.
- Has a solid understanding of the Governance process and actively ensures the Core Team is adhering to Governance processes and is providing project status updates to leadership.
Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 5 Years of Relevant Experience
- Work hours: 40 hours
- Travel Requirements: up to 5% domestic

Preferred Qualifications/skills Experience:
- Degree in Science or Engineering, MS or MBA
- Experience in Medical Device
- PMP certification preferred
- Solid understanding of full R&D lifecycle, from ideation to launch
