What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at Alcon Construction, Inc.?
Alcon Construction, Inc. is recruiting for an experienced, full-time concrete finisher. Must have a high level of knowledge of and experience constructing formwork, assemble and tie reinforcing steel, placing, and finishing concrete. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints.
The person in this position should have an advanced knowledge of mix design, admixtures, curing compounds, etc. This person is expected to perform all aspects of a concrete job with minimal direction from a crew foreman and may occasionally lead a crew and complete small jobs without foreman supervision.
Qualified applicants must also:
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record so you can drive a company vehicle
- Have a reliable method of getting to and from work
- Have their own basic concrete tools
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Have 3 years advanced concrete experience
- Provide former employers and/or coworkers as references
ACI certification preferred. Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work that is required. Must work cooperatively with a team in a fast-paced environment. Must prioritize safety.
Monday through Friday with possible Saturdays required, 40 hours per week. Position requires ability to climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, squat, and exert heavy physical effort. Work is typically outside, in a variety of weather conditions, and may require work in confined spaces.
Compensation is expected to be between $20 and $24 per hour depending on related experience.
