We’re working with a well-established moving and relocation company looking to hire a Vice President of Business Development and Marketing in San Diego, CA. Our client is looking for an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in the moving, relocation, and logistics sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and leading sales and marketing teams to support the company’s expansion plans.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Creating and executing national growth plans to expand the company’s moving, relocation, and logistics services.
- Developing new revenue opportunities through corporate accounts, relocation partnerships, commercial clients, and strategic relationships.
- Managing the complete business development process, including market identification, proposals, RFP responses, negotiations, and contract development.
- Establishing sales strategies, reporting structures, and performance metrics to improve commercial performance.
- Working closely with operations and client services teams to align business development activity with service delivery and customer expectations.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
To succeed in this Vice President of Business Development and Marketing role, you require:
- 10 years’ experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership within the moving, relocation, or logistics sector.
- Previous experience operating at Director, VP, or senior leadership level with responsibility for revenue growth.
- Strong industry knowledge across corporate relocation, commercial moving, residential moving, storage, or specialised logistics services.
- A proven track record of developing sales strategies, building client relationships, and expanding business opportunities.
- Experience managing CRM platforms, sales forecasting, reporting, and commercial performance analysis.
- Willingness to travel domestically for client meetings, key accounts, and industry events.
Salary : $180,000 - $260,000
