Three LOIs are signed before we launch. The methodology has been validated at two enterprise clients. We expect to close a $3M seed round in Q3 2026. The VP of Sales is our first hire and the reason this company hits its Series A on schedule.
The role
You own the full revenue motion from day one. The target is 10 new Phase 1 beta clients per quarter starting Q3 2026, converting to recurring SaaS at 40%. You are walking into warm CHRO introductions from a founder who spent 15 years as a CHRO himself and runs an active HR advisory firm with relationships across logistics, financial services, healthcare, and professional services. The pipeline is real. What is missing is a closer who can take it from warm to signed.
What we need
- Five-plus years selling HR SaaS or HCM directly to CHROs at mid-market companies in the 500 to 5,000 employee range. Not HR managers. Not IT buyers. CHROs.
- Real CHRO relationships across multiple industries. Not LinkedIn connections. Relationships where a CHRO picks up when you call.
- A track record of selling a new product without brand recognition or inbound support. You know how to create urgency around something people have not heard of yet.
- The ability to lead with a free 90-day proof-of-concept and close the paid contract when the deliverable lands. Your job is to make Phase 2 feel inevitable.
- A hands-on operator who runs their own sequences, writes their own outreach, and does not wait for marketing to feed them pipeline.
- Early-stage experience. You have been a first or second sales hire before and you know what that means.
Compensation $130,000 to $160,000 base plus performance commission. Equity: 1% to 2%, four-year vest, one-year cliff. At the base case acquisition of $130M this position is worth $1.2M after dilution. Named acquirer target, clear revenue path, three-year exit thesis. This is not a token grant.
