Qualifications:
Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Responsibilities:
You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor and will be responsible for providing knowledge on aircraft overhauls, trades and labor work while also supervising subordinate workers either directly or through subordinate leaders.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Using coaching techniques to build team performance and communicating with team members through regular staff meetings.
- Reading and applying trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals, technical orders, blueprints, sketches, instructions or other related documentation.
- Monitoring health and safety issues including compliance with standards and good house keeping practices.
- Resolving grievances, exercising budgetary controls, and maintaining an awareness of all cell processes.
