School Description: As one of the most innovative educational programs in the nation, the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy is an award winning, nationally recognized, ASL/English dual language school that provides deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students and families access to a 21st century education that incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) and English in an inclusive environment. All ASLA students- whether hearing, deaf, or in need of ASL to communicate- learn in ways that better connect them to their family and community. Job Descripton:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and adaptive communication disorders
- Service students from grades K-12 with support in the Honey-Badger transition program (ages 18-22)
Requirements:
- NMPED License or be able to obtain
- American Sign Language proficiency is not required, but preferred
