Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal maintenance, dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, and debridement.
- Evaluate overall health and educate patients on preventative care, outcomes, and oral hygiene.
- Maintain patient electronic dental records (Open Dental and Dexis)
- Send letters to referring offices (template provided).
- Take radiographs as needed.
- Follow practice protocols for quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, sterilization, charting, referral maintenance, implants, periodontal program.
- Stock required supplies and maintain hygiene instruments.
- Assist with sterilization.
Qualifications
- Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Current NM Dental Hygiene license
- Current CPR certification
- Local Anesthesia Certification
Hourly rate depends on qualification and experiences.
Part-time position 1-2 days per week, flexible
