The Assistant Director for Campus Safety is a member of the Albion College Student Development staff
and reports to the Director for Campus Safety. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in
administering a comprehensive student development program within a residential campus consistent
with the philosophies and goals of Albion College, the Division of Student Development and the
Department of Campus Safety.
The Assistant Director for Campus Safety is responsible for the overall management of the Department of
Campus Safety in the absence of the Director or at those times when the Director is not available. The
Assistant Director strives to ensure that all members of the Campus Safety staff observe policies and
procedures that contribute to a safe and well-ordered campus environment. Independent judgment is
required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Must contribute to a campus climate that emphasizes a commitment to working with individuals and
groups from a variety of identities, cultures and backgrounds.
