Position Title: Digital Storyteller & Content Producer

Job Overview:
This full-time position reports to the Director of Marketing and Web Strategy and has primary responsibilities for building, monitoring, and maintaining a robust digital media environment for Albertus Magnus College, as well as content creation, storytelling, and development for the College’s digital channels and print products.
The Digital Storyteller & Content Producer has high-level understanding of the latest digital trends and best practices and serves as a steward for brand integrity. (S)he will collaborate closely with other MarCommWeb staff, building strategy and executing across all platforms, developing and creating work that increases brand awareness, drives engagement, supports enrollment goals, and integrates with the various College department needs.
Essential Functions:
• Supports brand strategy across multiple departments and platforms in keeping with latest trends and best practices in social media and digitial content
• Strategizes and creates content across all platforms including but not limited to email, blogs, social media, web, publications, internal media
• Oversees campus social media strategy, content creation, and publishing; guides the College’s social media ambassadors
• Supports the broader MarComm responsibilities, including writing, contributing ideas, event support, developing impactful marketing campaigns
• Department steward for interns and internships
• Represents the College at external community events, assists with advocacy activities, and maintains legislative contact lists
• Responsible for cataloging, managing, and maintaining digital assets of the MarCommWeb department (Marketing Warehouse)
• Engages the College community in participating in the development of content while supporting brand integrity; develops rapport and relationships with all levels of employees, and works effectively with team collaboration
Qualifications:
• Strong verbal, writing, and editing skills (must provide samples)
• Expertise in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite
• Expertise in social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, SnapChat, and Hootsuite
• Strong knowledge of marketing/branding/communications concepts and trends that integrate brand strategy across multiple departments and platforms
• Ability to see the ‘big picture’ and think strategically while producing on a daily basis
• Knowledge in creating, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of digital media metrics
• HTML familiarity is a plus
• Superior organizational skills
• Independent, detail-oriented, creative, task-prioritizing, flexible, adaptive, pro-active, discreet in a rapidly changing environment
• Must be able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• A demonstrated track record of success and good judgement in planning and implementing social media content and engagement as part of a larger organizational communication strategy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in higher education is preferred but not required.
• Experience with corporate communications, public relations and community relations preferred.
• Spanish proficiency a plus, but not required
Work Schedule Requirements:
- Hybrid Availability: Yes – at the manager's discretion after 90 days
- Office environment although work will occur across campus. Standard working hours; position requires some evening and weekend hours.
Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-Time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
