Construction Inspector

WEBB is currently seeking Public Works Construction Inspectors for part-time and/or full-time on-call project-based positions. Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of experience inspecting the construction of roads, traffic signals, water, sewer, and storm drain facilities. The position requires familiarity with a broad spectrum of general civil construction activities, materials, methods, and processes.

Compensation Rate: Prevailing Wage for Prevailing Wage projects and $54.80/hr - $82.75/hr for non-prevailing wage jobs

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document construction processes; prepare daily inspection reports with the use of an iPad
• Read, interpret, and enforce construction drawings and specifications
• Worksites in the Inland Southern California and Coachella Valley areas
• Identify construction issues, communicate clearly (written and verbal) with the project team, and prepare accurate as-built drawings
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, technical school or college degree preferred
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), and iPad
• Desired Certifications:
• Cal/OSHA Trenching and Excavation
• Cal/OSHA Confined Space
• Traffic Control and Flagger
• ACI Concrete
• APWA Public Infrastructure Inspector
• ICC Reinforced Concrete
• Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP)
  
  

Salary: $54.80 - $82.75 per hour
