What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHY THER II position at Albemarle Regional Health Services?
The CDSA Physical Therapist (PT) provides evaluations and specialized treatment services for infants and toddlers as well as provides consultation to a variety of provider agencies in the catchment area. The PT works with the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team to develop appropriate service plans with outcomes and services to address child and family needs. The PT works with children with developmental disabilities which range from mild to quite complex and severe. This position recommends appropriate adaptive equipment and completes paperwork for funding sources for adaptive equipment. The complex work assignments of the PT require considerable knowledge, competence, teaching skill, and planning ability. This position exercises autonomy in the selection of appropriate tools/instruments and equipment. This position may provide supervision and consultation to less experienced PTs and staff in agencies providing services to children and families and monitors the motor needs of children throughout the catchment area.
