Albany Toyota is looking for an energetic, professional, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing Service Department.Our Service Advisors are the connection between our customers and our technicians. You’ll help customers understand what their vehicle needs, keep them informed throughout the repair process, and make sure they leave feeling confident that their vehicle — and their business — were taken care of properly.If you enjoy working with people, have strong communication skills, and take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience, we want to meet you!
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and create a positive experience from the moment they arrive
- Meet with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write accurate and detailed repair orders
- Review vehicle history and recommend maintenance and repairs based on the vehicle's needs
- Present maintenance and repair recommendations clearly and professionally
- Review Multi-Point Inspection results, photos, and videos with customers
- Explain technician recommendations and answer customer questions
- Communicate repair costs, timelines, and approvals clearly
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
- Coordinate closely with technicians and the Service Department
- Monitor repair orders and help keep vehicles moving through the shop efficiently
- Review completed repairs with customers and explain the work performed
- Schedule the customer's next recommended service visit
- Follow up with customers when additional work is recommended but not completed
- Work with customers to resolve concerns and provide solutions
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation on every repair order
- Help build long-term customer relationships and increase customer retention
- Consistently work toward department and individual performance goals

- Be organized and able to manage multiple customers and repair orders at the same time
- Be comfortable using computers and dealership software
- Be dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Work well with technicians, advisors, managers, and other dealership employees
- Be comfortable asking for the customer's business and recommending needed services
- Understand that customer trust and retention are just as important as today's sale
Automotive Experience
Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
If you have strong customer service, sales, communication, or automotive experience and are motivated to learn, we'd like to talk with you.
